THE FAST CITY LIFE builds a dependency to fast food, turning people away from making gourmet meals. A space encouraging gourmet foods as a celebratory experience can also provide a local community that is not always present in city life.
The result is a food hall that combines a demonstration vertical farm, a grocery store, a community kitchen, and a food court. The community kitchen becomes the “hearth” of the building, a center of communal events.
