The Cape in the middle of the Western coast of the island. Ends with a two-peaked "Shaman-rock". 
Currently, the Cape has the status of state nature and historical monument.
The Cape is located on the territory of Baikal national Park. It is located near Khuzhir 
with a population of 1300 inhabitants is the largest settlement on Olkhon island.
The fact that the Cape Shamanka Rock juts out far into the lake, connecting with the beach only a low and narrow 
isthmus, gave grounds to refer it to the capes "ostrovidova type". It is crystal 
limestone with veins of quartz. 
The name of the Cape "Burhan" appeared after penetration in the Region at the end of the SEVENTEENTH century Tibetan 
Buddhism, partly replaced shamanism. The word "Burhan" Buryat Buddhists became known as the main
