The site on the Audubon Terrace required us to address the issue of the accessibility, both to the
building and the rest of the historic site. Being part of the brick competition it was necessary to have masonry construction. Taking cues from early civil infrastructures, we used masonry continuously, erasing boundaries between walls and ceiling/floor.While addressing the site topography and limited area, we used multiple levels at different axis to maximize available area, those connections allowed for
simultaneous experience, that is different depending on the viewers’ location.
