What was once a patch of dirt between two parking lots, is now a 7 story 20,000 sq. ft. land museum with adjacent park space on either side with parking below. With "skin" as my building topic, this museum utilizes several different types such as industrial copper mesh, louvered solar panels and glazing; all strategically placed for maximum compatibility to solar and programmatic design. The park space is in response to the lack of green space in the immediate area surrounding the site in downtown Los Angeles.
