Due to the deterioration and abandonment of most of what we know as the historic center of Nuevo Laredo; as head of the urban image division, I proposed to the City's department of urban development a pilot project to jump start the downtown's revitalization.

The intent was to provide a recreational area with new opportunities for commerce, in a pleasing environment by making the adjacent streets pedestrians only, changing the zoning ordinances and connecting the block to the adjacent park which presently has a parking lot between them.
