In this project, done with Ken Ford & Neil Henk at the Academy of Art University in SF, it was entirely based upon documenting a very difficult site in a non-traditional drawing manner, and then taking a image from a digital file they passed around and somehow bringing architecture out of it. It led to some very theoretical discussions and some interesting and beautiful drawings as a result.
My project became a repository for memories, in the way that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a movie about removing negative memories. The memories then could collect, accumulate in this place, and then when they got to a certain threshold, erupt into the atmosphere and recreate into good things.
