ITB mosque jatinangor was a competition project. The purpose was to create urban farming combined with worshipping place as a way to promote the way of nature-responsible and productive living as a way of showing gratitude to God for the life we’ve been given. Occupying the latest technology of solartube to enable the sunlight to puncture through the building skin to lighten up the indoor farms. The building form mimicked kneeling position of sholat (praying ritual of moslems), kneeling to Qibla, sacred direction of the rite.
