Alain Khoury graduated in architecture from the University of Montreal in 1993.
Through the years, Alain took an atypical path of a nomad. He was born in Beirut during the decade preceding the civil war and then settled successively in the United States; Nevada, Arizona, California and finally moved to Canada - Montreal.
Throughout his journey, he gathered as much life experiences as artistic idioms. Whether being sculpture, painting, music or architecture; and this, in the most eclectic sense of the term.
His career started in Nevada, designing Hotel-Casinos with Gary Guy Wilson Architects then moved to New Port Beach-California to join the offices of Fleetwood Joiner & Associates.
Once arrived in Montreal in the beginning of 2000, he enriched progressively his journey through multiple architectural collaborations. Whether being residential complexes, retirement homes, mountain resorts, luxury condominiums, or golf clubs.
He had an active participation in the design of the new metro line and the two newest stations in the suburbs of Montreal.
In 2005, Alain Khoury led the project management of the well received and successful real estate project: Claridge Plaza in downtown Ottawa.
His multilingualism (French-English Portuguese and Spanish) and his entrepreneurial spirit facilitated the gain of two major contracts in Qatar for Group Marchand Architecture and Design.
Later that year, Alain was the lead designer for the International Competition organized by the minister of tourism for the Abu Dhabi government and was awarded second place.
