About

I am an architectural student interested in employment as an architectural intern. At this stage in my academic career I would like to expand my skills in architecture, construction, and environmental design and learn more about my interest in historical, residential and sustainable architecture, adaptive reuse and have the opportunity to work in a team environment.

I grew up in the historical town of Port Perry and have always been fascinated by historical architecture. I have been involved with construction, restoration and renovation work, and would like to continue learning more related to large scale projects. I have developed many skills throughout my art/architecture education that include designing, hand rendering, painting, model making, and drafting. I also have knowledge of Photoshop, Vectorworks, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3DMax, and Revit programs. I am attentive to detail, able to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and efficient in time management. I believe my skill sets would be beneficial to your firm while providing me with valuable work experience.

I am currently in VABE (Visual arts and the Built Environment), which is a collaborative program between the University of Windsor’s School for Arts and Creative Innovation and the University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Architecture. It is a double Major in Fine Arts and Architecture. This unique program has afforded me the chance to approach design from the perspective of both an artist and an architect and master the tools used in both professions. The linkage between art and architecture has been extremely important in my understanding of the collaborative process in creative problem solving.
