My background has included all facets of program management, staff development, vendor/subcontractor relations, budgeting, project site and logistics management. At IBM Corp., I was the Staff Facilities Architect responsible for the Central Production Campus comprised of four main buildings totaling over 1,000,000 square feet of R&D production facilities.  In addition, I have had various roles including Senior Project Manager, Construction Administrator, Owner Representative, and Architect/Facilities Advisory Engineer and Construction Contract Monitoring positions in my career.

 

Throughout my career, I have consistently provided on-time, on-spec, and on-budget project delivery and have motivated teams to meet quality goals and performance guidelines. • Served as the third most senior manager within a 100-person not-for-profit organization.
• High School Supervisor & Instructor for small private school (Kent Christian Academy). I have taught subjects such as History, Civics, Geography, Math (all levels), Science (all levels) and faith based courses.
• Functioned as in-house architectural consultant during new $3.5 million, 26,000 square foot building project process including drawing interpretation, site superintendent liaison, office assignment and future site development expansions. This included permit applications for the entire current and future site development.
• Acted as liaison with the City of Dover planning/ building department and the Kent County Department of Environmental Conservation. Submitted permit applications and coordinated landscaping designs (150 newly planted trees) and signage drawing between vendors and municipal permit agencies.

IBM Corporation, Poughgkeepsie, NY, Staff Architect / Facilities Project Manager

o Staff Architect / Project Manager
• Managed Poughkeepsie main plant architectural team projects and construction. This included approximately 1 million square feet of commercial office, industrial manufacturing and laboratory research space.
• Direct financial accounting for contract administration from feasibility stage to final billing approvals and funding releases for large R&D projects.
• Designated as resident clean room expert in Poughkeepsie. Clean rooms are R&D facilities that must be isolated from contaminants that would damage and compromise products on an atomic level. I have designed, contracted and built class 1 clean rooms to ensure future product increased reliability milestones.
• Direct manager for 14 projects at one time at 6 locations totaling over $100 million in financial resources at IBM Poughkeepsie Bldgs. 002,003,004 and 012 with no operational disruptions.
• Designed and managed the Consolidation Line Project in Poughkeepsie 012 coordinating 17 separate and complex phases over the course of 9 months with a total budget of over $1 million without manufacturing disruption. Project was completed on time and under budget.
• Managed the architectural design and construction of a $72 million, 40,000-sq.ft. Semiconductor class 1 cleanroom facility and $400 million in associated tooling at IBM East Fishkill Bldg. 322.
• Managed the $22 Million Bldg. 322 cleanroom installation including contract documents, financial progress reports and change order documentation.
• Standardized Operational procedures for new class 1 clean room R&D facilities at East Fishkill Bldg. 322 and existing Bldg. 600 to increase procedural efficiency.
