I just graduated from Harrington College of Design in Chicago with a bachelors degree in Interior Design. I also have a bachelors degree in Architecture from UW-Milwaukee. I'm looking for an entry-level position in architecture or interior design; I'm very passionate about both of these professions.
After being in school for so long, I'm very much looking forward to getting into "the real world" and getting my hands dirty with some projects.
CannonDesign, Chicago, IL, US, Materials Library Intern
I maintained organization of the materials in the library and assisted designers with pulling and ordering samples for projects. I made material presentation boards and on occasion assisted designers with mark-ups on plans in Revit. Was asked to stay on past one semester for a full year. After the internship ended, I was hired as a contract worker to complete the new interior's library database.

I also performed typical office duties such as answering phones and running errands.

Harrington College of Design, Chicago, IL, US, Bachelors, Interior Design
The program started with basic courses in color theory, 2D, and 3D design and progressed to more in depth studies of advanced detailing (we produced a complete construction document set), building codes, and project management. There were courses in AutoCAD, 3DS Max, and Revit. We had 4 design studios and then a thesis class. I also took a course in sustainability and a course dedicated to the LEED Credits.
