About

Working in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels and Boston as an interior architect, has given me the chance to immerse in design based on an understanding of materials, excellence in craftsmanship and an appreciation of the classics from diverse perspectives.  I seek an environment that celebrates these notions and presents modern design as an expression of beauty and quality found in the details, in the story, and as an extension of the architecture we live in, in all its temporal qualities.

I have been working as a free-lance architect in Brussels and Amsterdam prior to relocating with my family from Copenhagen.  Throughout my time in Copenhagen, I worked at the firm of Space Architects (www.spacecph.dk).  The firm has a focus on high-end retail and restaurant design throughout Scandinavia.  My responsibilities included design development, 3D modeling and client presentations for the firm’s many projects, and also included managing one of the firm’s top clients, the By Malene Birger (BMB) retail group.

I have lived in and visited numerous countries around the world. This has formed a fundamental aspect of my identity, and continues to inform and inspire my work.  I passionately seek a sense of authenticity and express my style through the use of natural materials, texture, and layering of classic and contemporary elements from around the world with an understated elegance.

Throughout the course of my career, my strong organizational, interpersonal, written and creative skills have made me an asset to my team in each position I have held. In 2008, I received a Masters in Interior Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design in the US, and with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Canada and an international work experience, I have the skills to approach projects with a problem-solving and motivated mindset.
