Passionate about Architecture & the Arts (both Fine Arts & Performing Arts), the environment, travel, music, piano's and biking. (I had to let go of skating in sunny California)
Before the jump across the pond, I was mainly involved in large Multi-family projects and some Single family, in The Netherlands. As a thesis I designed an artist Hotel.
I planned and designed my first built project in the US, House 4 2+, from Amsterdam. It turned out to be about as 'Green' as it gets, with steel-framed straw-bale construction and re-used wood (see pics; yes, that's me in front of the wall under construction). Subsequently, I've also worked on LEED projects and became a LEED AP.
Since the move to California, I've been part of many successful projects, ranging in types from Healthcare to Commercial / Hospitality, from K-12 to Mixed-use, and with a large dose of Residential.
As an Architect/Designer I like to be part of the solution, while I also know how to catch a ball and run with it, and do know how to lead a team.
Currently, I'm looking for a team that's doing exciting work and that in their turn is looking for a creative, organized team-player, to work together on formulating sound, sustainable and appealing Architectural solutions.
