At present I'm looking for a job in the field of Urban design and planning, preferably something related to transport planning and models. I'd graduated as an architect in 2006 from Anna University and worked as an Urban designer for 4 years with HCP Design, Planning & Management Pvt Ltd (HCPDPM) in Ahmedabad. I'd worked mainly on the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project. This is one of the first riverfront development undertaken in the country and is an ongoing project.
In 2010 august I started my European Postgraduate Masters in Urbanism (EMU) program at TU Delft with an exchange semester at IUAV Venezia, Italy. I'm now back in India, hoping to countinue my adventure in the field of Urban design and planning.
I enjoy working on large scale projects where the common citizen is the main stakeholder and where political demands have to to fulfilled with the best design and planning solutions. Its a challenge I've enjoyed in the past and am looking forward to in the future.

My job at HCPDM started as a Junior Architect. The job profile was mainly learning about the project and making the necessary conceptual and schematic drawings and at times scaled models. Over time the profile changed to that of a design managed which meant coordination between the principal designer, client and the contractor. This also meant regular site supervisions, checking of drawings for execution and most importantly training of new interns and employees into the project.
I was also the team head for few smaller projects such as the Our Cities Ourselves exhibition hosted by the transport planning firm ITDP.

I worked as a trainee as part of the education curriculum of the University. The main job was to make schematic and working drawings for the architect. The job profile also included making scaled models of buildings and also measured drawings of existing structures.

This is a postgraduate masters program in urbanism specialized for the European context. As part of the program I also did a exchange program for one semester with IUAV Venezia, Italy. I've finished my thesis and am awaiting my result from the university.

This is a basic 5 year architecture program in India. I've qualified from this program with First class and am also enrolled as an licensed architect with the Council of Architecture India with this degree.
