Kurt West is the owner of West Workshop, an award-winning architecture and design studio with offices in Raleigh, NC and Alexandria, VA. Born into a military family, Kurt grew up throughout the U.S and Europe though considers himself equally Texan as he is a Hoosier. He received a Bachelors in Architecture from Ball State University and graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the University of Virginia. Prior to launching West Workshop, Kurt apprenticed at Morphosis Architects in Los Angeles in addition to stops in Chicago, Indianapolis and Washington, DC. Kurt is married with three children, an avid baseball fan, and is licensed to practice architecture in the Commonwealth of Virginia, North Carolina and Washington, DC.
