His curiosity for construction and ambitious thirst for design is what keep him grounded during his professional experience. Getting to a senior designing position is quite an accomplishment that one can thank school’s training, the personal relationships with co-workers and the time spent in many project. Its with this plastic mentality that Jorge has learned to balance the problem solving experience.

Lead team in the assistance of generating working drawings for "Treasure Island" , River Raft & Soaring Over The World - Shanghai, Disney themed park. This was a temporary position working under the super vision of Cotton/Fontana Architects.

Assisted, lead and managed a wide variety of medium sized projects for principal architect specialized in public safety architecture. Head of design team for the Williamson County Texas Emergency Operations Center; Assisted team to generate the working drawings for the City of Chino Police Headquarters Facility; Lead team for Preliminary Design for the City of Santa Barbara Police Headquarters EOC Relocation; lead team during the DD, CD & CA phases for the new construction of the City of Fremont Police Department Indoor Gun Range; Lead the team during all design phases of the City of Beverly Hills Police EOC expansion and second floor interior renovation project; Assisted the design team in developing DD, CD & CA phases of the work for the new police headquarters for the City of La Mesa, CA.

Worked in a variety of small to medium size projects for many private clients located in the Santa Barbara area. Developed design sketches for master planning the development of the Lake Las Vegas residential parcel tracks 30-50; Lead team with all phases of design for mixed-use commercial development located in the historical downtown Santa Barbara District; gained experience in community outreach type of projects, assisted the development of many odd shaped lots & poor soil conditions; Projects include the Santa Barbara Yacht Club, Girls Incorporated, Goleta chapter, Transcontinental Developer Group Main Offices, Rusty’s Pizza Restaurants, McMurray Dance Academy in Santa Barbara & the Albuquerque Restaurant on State Street.

Lead and assisted design team during the preliminary stage. Developed DD phase drawings for large school renovation project as well as submitted final CD packages for DSA approval. School project include the Cerro Coso College arts building expansion and renovation; Inglewood High School campus master plan in 6 phases.

Worked in large airport project for the American Airlines terminal located in the Los Angeles International Airport Center. Assisted the design team in the renovation of the American Airlines terminal four (phased project). Generated preliminary drawing for Lake Tahoe airport and the San Jose main terminal expansion.
