I am a recent graduate from Iowa State University's Architecture Program and I am seeking work in the architecture field. I am also seeking to achieve LEED Certification and licensure as an Architect.

Assist guests to the gardens with their needs and answer their questions pertaining to the Gardens and its exhibits. I also had to ask guests to fill out surveys to help with research project finding the demographics of the gardens and their changes through the seasons and interactions with the exhibits. If there were any larger events at Reiman Gardens I was also recruited to help with the setup or tear down of the event.
Del's Garden Center, Spencer, IA, US, Landscape Design Assistant
Assist the Landscape Architects in their tasks and general office work (ie filing, cleaning, copying etc.). Tasks that were assigned to me involved the entire design process starting at initial site documentation through to documentation of a completed and installed project. This involved layout of the sites in Dynascape Design, building sites and architectural components in Sketchup, detailing designs, pricing projects, bidding a project as a subcontractor, and preparing presentation materials for proposals to clients. The last year of my work I was allowed to design smaller projects and design certain areas of larger projects. If office work was slow I was sent into the field to assist the landscape crews with the installation of the projects.
