Born and raised in Southern California until the age of 22 when I left for school. After years of familiarity and routine, life in Los Angeles was too predictable. The weather was great, food choices were plenty, the Lakers were in contention every year, and the Dodgers, well, I'm always hopeful. Transferring to an out of state University seemed like the perfect solution to exploring new perspectives and new architectural philosophies. Oregon proved to be just what I was searching for, I learned how to live with less, take advantage of natural and public resources, respond to our environment, live a healthier lifestyle, and root for college football. Go Ducks! After 5 years in the Eco-friendly Pacific Northwest, I decided to return to the city that I love so much to implement strategies and ideas that could enhance our city.
