John Wheadon

Saint Louis, MO, US

I have over 10 years of experience working on artistic and design focused enterprises.  I currently work as a designer and craftsman for Emil Frei Inc. in St. Louis.  In addition to designing stained glass windows and mosaics I have recently been applying my architectural knowledge and experience toward the design of installation sculpture at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  I am passionate about art & architecture and I would like to continue to integrate my passion for both in my future work.

In my personal life, I really enjoy the outdoors: fishing, camping, hiking, nature watching, caving, etc.  My interest in the outdoors has taken me all over the US, most recently to Isle Royale in Lake Superior where I backpacked across the island with my beautiful wife Rachel.

Emil Frei & Associates Inc., Saint Louis, MO, US, Artist/Craftsman/Project Manager

I wear many hats at Emil Frei. In addition to designing new stained glass windows and mosaics I actively participate in the fabrication and management of new projects. In the past I have also been heavily involved in the restoration of stained glass windows in churches across the country but primarily in St. Louis and New Orleans.

Emil Frei is an internationally recognized leader in stained glass window and mosaic design.
