Ameen Ayoub is the Principal of Ameen Ayoub Design Studio LLC. Ayoub received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture in 2001 from Baylor University and a Masters of Architecture degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004. His studies at Washington University in St. Louis included one semester in the Buenos Aires, Argentina region and travel studies throughout South America including Brazil. He also traveled extensively throughout Western Europe, studying buildings in London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, and Rotterdam. During his time at Washington University, Ayoub was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the architecture department's Climate and Light Course during two of his three spring semesters, helping structure and teach lectures. Ayoub focused his studio courses on urban studies with emphasis on urban renewal and redevelopment. Academic achievements include an exhibition for one of his urban design projects at the William & Florence Schmidt Art Center, Southwestern Illinois College and Foundation. Title: “Imagining a Place: Eight Proposals for a Metropolitan Edge” (January-March 2003). Ayoub also was a member of the American Institute of Architecture Students from 2000 to 2004 and served as President during the 2001-2002 year where he traveled to Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh as a University Representative. During school Ayoub worked as an intern at Daniel and Associates Architects, in Dallas Texas.
Upon graduation, Ayoub relocated to Los Angeles, California and worked at John Cataldo Architects in S. Pasadena, California before joining Rudin Donner Design in Los Angeles, California, a small boutique residential firm, where he worked on contemporary custom residences in and around the Hollywood and Beverly Hills area. At HKS Architects in Beverly Hills, Ayoub served as one of the designers, for the Dodger Stadium renovation, and master planner for a Kaiser Permanente Replacement Hospital, in Fontana California. In the fall of 2006 he founded Ameen Ayoub Design Studio where he has designed and built projects, including offices for AXA Advisors, El Paso, adaptive building reuse in south El Paso and an office warehouse in Sunland Park, New Mexico. In addition Ameen has designed several un-built residences in El Paso.
Currently Ameen is designing high end custom homes in the hillside of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles and West Hollywood.
