John Futey

Cranford, NJ, US

I joined Fitzgerald Architecture Studio in 2011 with over 5 years of experience in design, including work in architecture, planning, and landscape architecture.  My work experience includes commercial and residential landscape design, with more recent work in the architectural design and master planning of resort communities.

Prior to working at FAS, I was a landscape architect/designer at the Brickman Group, a national landscape design/build/maintenance firm, where I provided design services for small to medium landscape design projects in New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.  More recently as a project assistant at Hart Howerton, a multi-disciplinary design firm, I was involved in the design and permitting of resort communities in ecologically and culturally sensitive areas throughout the United States.

My role at FAS includes the management of Disaster Restoration projects in addition to assisting in architectural design assignments.  To this end, I participate in field investigations, and conduct construction document production and zoning and code compliance research.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers University and a Master of Architecture Degree from the Boston Architectural College.
