Monrovia, CA, US

My name is Nick.  I am recent M. Arch I graduate from Cal Poly Pomona.  I have one and a half years of full-time work experience in an architecture office.  My work experience includes a central role in concept design a multi-block mixed use development in Downtown Los Angeles.  I have also worked as both a drafter and assistant project manager, and was responsible for assisting in design of single-family dwellings, drafting full construction document sets, acquiring permits, and producing digital renderings. I also have several years' experience in construction, working as an estimator and construction photographer.  In addition to my architecture degree, I also have a bachelor's degree in urban planning.

Architecture offers me an opportunity to impact people's experiences within the built environment. Places we may only visit once, those which we frequent, and indeed the spaces in which we live are all subject to design.  Architecture constitutes a unique marriage of addressing practical needs, and a continual exploration of the limits of our creative ability.  The prospect of enhancing our experiences through the medium of the built environment is infinitely appealing to me.
