A Registered Architect with over 12 years’ experience in the design of mixed-use buildings, academic facilities, residential architecture and market housing.

I have a keen eye for detail and for the relationship between light and space, having worked at the architectural lighting practice of MCLD, collaborating on projects with Teeple Architects, KPMB, and Diamond + Schmitt.

I developed my technical skills in building envelope design and detailing while working at Diamond + Schmitt, facilitating the design of the Mathematics and Computer Science instructional Centre at the University of Toronto, Scarborough campus. Within the last five years, I have worked on six projects of scale over 200,000 square feet. I am also familiar with the City of Toronto’s Zoning By-Laws and Tall Building Design Guidelines, having worked on a variety of housing projects from Plan Amendment and Site Plan Approval phases, through to Construction Documentation and Contract Administration.

Communication and collaboration are fundamental to my approach to projects. With these skills in hand, my professional involvement ranges the full breadth of the discipline, from Business Development, Functional Programming, Master-Planning, and Conceptual Design to Working Drawings, Project Management and Contract Administration.

I continue to develop a theoretical framework for practice. My work has been published by Routledge, and I have been an invited lecturer at Carleton University, The University of Sheffield and The University of Edinburgh, as well as an invited studio critic at The University of Toronto, Carleton University, OCAD-U and Ryerson University.

Interests: design process, food accessibility, civic infrastructures, participatory design, agency, community building.

Specialties: Building envelope research, Building detailing, Schematic Design, Design Development, Contract Documents, Project Management, BIM+3D Modelling (Revit, Maya, 3D Studio, Rhino), Private Residential, Renderings.
