Thomas is an architect registered with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), a Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD), and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC).
He has over 20 years’ experience in the design of mixed-use buildings, educational facilities, market housing and private residences. He has a keen eye for detail and for the relationship between light and space, having worked at the architectural lighting practice of MCLD during his education, collaborating on projects with Teeple Architects and KPMB. Since then, he has worked at leading Canadian firms, including Hariri Pontarini and Diamond Schmitt.
Communication and collaboration are fundamental to my approach to practice. With these skills in hand, Thomas' professional involvement ranges the full breadth of the discipline, from Business Development, Functional Programming, Master-Planning, and Conceptual Design to Working Drawings, Project Management and Contract Administration.
Thomas' work has been published by Canadian Architect, Routledge and OnSite Review. I have collaborated on the book Agency; a critical re-examination of Sustainability and the role of the Humanities in Architecture.
