About

I have my Master's in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I also have a bachelor's degree in Art from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am a highly motivated and creative individual with a strong passion for architecture and design. I worked for a firm in Madison, WI while I was completing my degree during the summers for three years. I believe through architecture and thoughtful design of space you can affect how someone feels and sees their environment. I am excited to move forward and become part of the professional architectural community. I am currently working towards obtaining my architectural license and feel it is an important next step to take. Having a degree in Art, I feel gives me a slightly different approach to design and development of space. I also have a lot of experience with presentation layout, image creation, and three dimensional modeling. As well, I believe in the importance of hand sketching and feel it can be a beneficial way to express your ideas quickly.

Education

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, MArch, Architecture

Obtained my Master's in Architecture May 2011. I received a well rounded education, during which I learned how to draw details and put together construction documents. Also how to explore new materials and bring out their hidden potential to enhance architectural spaces through textural and materiality. Also learned about different building processes, especially the ins and outs of pre-cast concrete. As well, took a few classes in fabrication to understand exactly how our ideas would be produced, this helps the design process by knowing the limits and capabilities of the materials.
