I recently completed my Bachelor of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University. During my studies there I worked heavily in parametric software and advanced software for 3d modeling such as Rhino and Maya. I also have extensive experience rendering in Maxwell and Vray. On the documentation side of things, I have extensive experience in AutoCAD and some in SketchUp and Revit. I am also extremely interested in Sustainability and the idea of using parametrics to create dynamic architecture, both physically and programmatically, as well as using parametrics within the design process. I look forward to working for a firm where I can learn and be challenged, and one where I can broaden my understanding of the discipline.
Eric Owen Moss Architects, Intern
Worked on an 1/8th inch scale model of a major skyscraper project the office was working on. Also did some study models as well as some 3d modeling work in Rhino which I then translated into cut files for laser cutting and assembly.
The Palmer Group, Temp
Worked at three different companies in Des Moines, Iowa doing various filing and organization jobs. Also during this time, was in charge of answering phones and managing the front desk at a local software company.
Cal Poly Fund Phonathon, Fundraiser
Raised over $35,000 fundraising for California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo by calling alumni and parents of current students on behalf of the various departments and schools.
Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Data Entry
Worked for the Graphics Department updating data sheets and inputting information into multiple databases. Worked during the summer but also during the following three weeks of winter break.
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, BArch, Architecture
Completed my degree with a 3.51 GPA. I focused mainly on Parametric software including Grasshopper, Bentley Generative Components, as well as some scripting in C++. Also, I modeled my projects in Rhinoceros and Maya and rendered in Maxwell or Vray. Throughout my time there I also used the Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD extensively as well as more traditional means of sketching and building physical models; both study models and final production models.
Queensland University Of Technology, Architecture Study Abroad
Studies focused on the role of indeterminacy in Architecture as well as the impact of parametrics through the use of Bentley's Generative Components and Grasshopper for Rhino.
University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Architecture Study Abroad
Studied under Anthony Burke and Ben Hewett re-imagining the megastructure typology with the added impact of scripting and digital tools. Taking graduate level course work during this time.
