About

Creating, building, designing, and dreaming: It started with a pencil, charcoal, or pastel on paper and expanded into construction documents, renderings of 3D models, and photography. As my reach expanded within the creative world I found myself naturally being drawn into the built environment. My passion led me to obtain my bachelors degree in architecture and pursue a career as a designer.

Currently I am employed with El Paso Electric Company's Communications department. I regularly undertake a mixture of projects ranging from updating documents to creating graphics that communicate new systems to those not familiar with our technology. I also continue to expand my abilities by working as a freelance architect taking on client projects such as residential design and project management.

As a construction worker for Builder’s By Design I gained a wealth of knowledge by assembling, erecting, cutting, and measuring building components and systems. Going beyond the conceptual designs and framing a metal stud wall, hanging drywall, and assembling drop ceilings has enabled me to communicate verbally and graphically to those in the construction industry.

During my studies I took it upon myself to learn Revit as I could tell it was the future of the field. At the time there were no formal classes on the software available to me so, I completed numerous tutorials and read books until finally, I chose to complete my senior project using the software. I am trained and am very comfortable using SketchUP, VIZ, and AutoCAD 3D which provided the foundation for my work.
