About

I was born and raised in Colombia and I earned my bachelor’s degree in Architecture from La Universidad Javeriana in Bogota. In 2008 I came to New York where I earned a Master’s in Architecture from Pratt Institute. During my master's, I studied theory and practice of generative design methodologies through digital programs like Maya, 3D-Studio Max, and Rhino as well as new fabrication technologies such as rapid prototype 3D printing and laser-cutting. Since then, I've worked with Kevin Kennon in New York city and Ecosistema Urbano in Madrid. Currently, I'm working with Frank Repas, with whom I've developed and compiled design and planning concepts for several projects, including sporting facilities, commercial buildings, and housing units, through multiple phases of construction.

In 2005, together with 3 colleagues, we won a national competition to design a public library for the municipality of Villanueva in Colombia. My team and I were solely in charge of the design, presentation rendering, computer aided design, and construction documentation. The project was successfully completed in 2009 and has been featured in architecture publications around the world. In 2010, the library received an honorable mention at the 2010 Colombia Biennale of Architecture.
