BARRY RICE ARCHITECT provides full architectural and interior design services for public, institutional, and private clients. We lead the process of creating a fluid collaboration between consultants, the client and the builder - recognizing architecture as a service as well as an art. We are not beholden to any one style and our ideas derive from a range of sources including traditional and contemporary architecture. Traditional design is inspired by a project's physical and cultural context. Classical architecture has taught us to learn from precedents and to adapt, rather than slavishly borrow, forms and details that will stand the test of time. Contemporary architecture starts with research into materials and exploring spatial relationships through computer animated walk-throughs, models and three dimensional renderings. Our clients participate in these studies becoming familiar with the spatial and tactile qualities of our designs before they are built.
