I am Alan Roo, an architect with a bachelor degree from the Faculty of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. My academic journey includes specialized studies in Computational Design and Robotic Manufacturing at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and a master's degree from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo, Japan.
Throughout my career, I've collaborated with clients globally and worked with renowned architecture studios in Mexico, Germany, Japan, China, and presently in Massachusetts, Boston, USA. My professional experience extends to the academic realm, where I've taught courses and workshops at prestigious institutions such as the UNAM Faculty of Architecture, Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, and KIT in Karlsruhe, Germany.
My areas of expertise and research revolve around the architecture, design and construction industry. I specialize in architectural design, consultancy services focused on integrating computational design tools and workflows into advanced design with complex geometries. My work also involves the incorporation of AI & Machine Learning tools, computational design in tandem with construction processes, complex geometry analysis, and construction databases. Proficient in software tools like Maya, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Python, Vb, C#, and well-versed in BIM platforms including Revit, Allplan, Digital Project, and Microstation.
