Ayse Eda Tarakci is an architectural designer based in Los Angeles. She acquired her MArch 2 Degree at SCI-Arc in 2022. She is currently working at Atelier Manferdini as an architectural designer and teaching at SCI-Arc as an assistant teacher. Prior to her studies in SCI-Arc, she received her B.Arch degree from Bilkent University with a degree of high honors.
She believes that contextually conscious ideas, once explored with contemporary representation methods, are capable of creating change, and shifting the paradigm of architecture from what it was into what it can be. She is interested in exploring the expanding grounds of architecture where it meets arts and virtual media.

At Atelier Manferdini, I’ve tackled projects with diverse scopes spanning facades, furniture, footwear, and jewelry design. Notably, I’ve curated exhibition spaces, orchestrating the seamless display of our creations in prestigious art galleries. My responsibilities encompassed project oversight from initial design to visualization, client and contractor communication, design development for manufacturing, and optimization for material qualities.
I had the chance to implement my software skills in various workflows including image to vector workflows for facade panelization, parametric design and structural optimization for 3D printed footwear soles, precision modeling for jewellery, 3D printed mold design for the manufacturing of ceramic objects etc. As an architectureal designer, I have experimented in different fields of design and developed diverse skills to implement techniques and workflows in architecture.

As an assistant teacher, I have honed my proficiency in tools such as Grasshopper, ZBrush, Rhino, C4D, Unreal Engine, Octane, and the Adobe Suite. Guiding students through their design processes has not only refined my own abilities but has also shaped my distinct design vision.
