Hans Steffes is a multi-disciplinary designer who integrates the principles of social ecology and ecological resilience into every aspect of his work. With a deep commitment to creating sustainable and just communities, Hans has dedicated his career to designing environments that enhance, rather than degrade, the natural world.

Hans received his undergraduate degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University, where he developed a strong foundation in architecture and ecological design. He went on to earn a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc), where he deepened his understanding of the relationship between design and social ecology.

Hans also holds a Master of Science in Synthetic Landscapes from Sci-Arc, where he explored the potential of technology to create more sustainable and resilient environments. As a faculty member at Sci-Arc, Hans shares his passion for ecological design and social justice with the next generation of designers, and encourages them to think critically about the role of design in shaping our built environments.

Throughout his career, Hans has led numerous projects that embody the principles of social ecology and ecological resilience.
