My name is Mario De Fina and I am an Architect currently looking for new work opportunities where I can contribute with my knowledge and continue to grow as an Architect.
I grew up in Venezuela, where I spent most of my life in Isla Margarita island with my family. Since I was a child, I was always attracted to sketching. This is mostly because my father is a civil engineer and my mother is an Architect, so architectural drawings and construction sites were part of my childhood. I went to Venezuela’s Central University, where I got my Architecture degree, which is something I’m proud of, given that it is the University that I have always wanted to get accepted to.
I have experience working in multidisciplinary work environments, surrounded by different design professionals, such as graphic designers, Industrial designers, and urban designers. This is what sparked my passion for the design itself.
I find joy in learning about architecture and urbanism from their theoretical foundations as well as their history. Understanding the design process, and knowing how to use different methods for its representation is of great importance to me. For I believe that a good process can lead you to many different good outcomes.
Throughout my career, I gained a lot of experience from the projects that I have worked on, and I also got to learn many skills and ways of working that allowed me to improve myself as a person and as a professional. I am always willing to share my opinions humbly and sincerely, and this is what I consider that has led me to make the best design decisions, either in a team or individually. Working with a team strengthens my creative faculties, as I find the process of exchanging ideas to be very enriching.
Last but not least, I am very aware of the processes, and optimizing the workflow is something I always keep in mind while working, as well as being realistic with deadlines and organizing my objectives to reach the goal promptly.
