William Joseph Baptiste is a recent architecture graduate working in New York City who is focused on expanding his ever-growing knowledge of architecture and design with international experiences and collaboration in the field. He graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Masters of Architecture degree in May 2019. Prior to that William received his B.S. in Architecture & Planning with a minor in Environmental Design and an A.S. in General Studies at Suffolk County Community College in Long Island, New York. He also participated in a study abroad program in Ireland & Scotland in the summer of 2016 where he traveled throughout all of Ireland with side trips to England.
William worked in the heart of New York City at Studio Daniel Libeskind from September 2019 - September 2020. He has also worked at many internships throughout his academic career such as Foit-Albert associates in Buffalo, New York, Kieran Timberlake in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and KPF (Kohn Pedersen & Fox) in New York, New York.

Duties: Conceptualize, create, design, plan, and develop new construction projects for Commercial and/or mixed-use buildings through all phases, from concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. With oversight from Design Principal, assist in leading teams of architectural designers on domestic commercial buildings and international mixed-use building types, including office, retail, residential, and hotel, to produce design studies, construction documents, and high-quality presentation materials for client and government approvals.
Utilize Rhino to perform 3D modeling of complex geometries during the design process to resolve complex conditions, Apply advanced knowledge of 3DS Max, V-Ray, and Enscape rendering techniques to articulate experiential design ideas and demonstrate spatial quality for clients understanding. Implement Revit building information modeling techniques and CAD drafting knowledge to generate complete complex construction drawing sets, regulatory agency drawing sets, tender issue drawing sets, consultant coordination drawings, and presentation drawings.
Use Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign software for high-end visualization and publication-quality presentation materials for client meetings, discussion, and competition work. Utilize 3D printer such as Ultimaker for exploring massing and design options as economical means.
