With this letter, I am keenly interested in the job for Junior Architect. I graduated from the M.S. Advanced Architectural Design Program from GSAPP in May, 2020. And before this, I graduated from Zhejiang University with a 5-year B. Arch Degree. I had 3 internship experiences in school. After graduation, I have been working as a full-time Junior Architectural Designer in Studio Fierro from July, 2020 till now.
At my current work, I strive to maintain accuracy and consistency in task completion and team goal-achievement within a tight schedule. For Pilares, a public school project in Mexico City, I was in charge of 3D modeling and participated in the making of DD and CD set. I worked with close collaboration with the structural engineer, landscape architect and construction coordinators and strived to achieve a design solution which works best both aesthetically and technically. I am highly recognized as a collaborator and fast learner by my supervisor and colleagues. Also, I have excellent leadership and communication
skills. I am always willing to take lead in group tasks and I was chosen as a teaching assistant in charge of class coordination and guest critic contact for Concrete approximation class.
As you can see from the projects detailed in my portfolio, I am most experienced in Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD and I am fully capable of 3d modeling and visualizations. I am fascinated with technology developments and I keep up with the undated techniques in the industry. For example, I chose Generative Design as my tech elective studio which uses Discover for spatial analysis and cost estimation. I believe that new techs like this would bring more possibilities into architecture.
