About 

Lake Lewis is a recent graduate from the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University. He has worked with a range of organizations, from Seattle to Tempe to Pittsburgh- focusing on mobility, sustainable missing middle & mixed use development, and equitable design. Additionally, photography is a medium that has allowed Lake to tell stories of various beings; living, built, and everything in between. Through his photo and design work, he hopes to contribute similar positive change to the ever dynamic and uncertain world around him.

Culdesac, Tempe, AZ, US, Architecture Intern

Cross-collaborated with Experience Design, Real Estate, and Marketing teams in Tempe, AZ to design, build, and manage the first car-free community in the U.S.

For the Murphy Crossing by Culdesac development in Atlanta, GA, produced compelling renders and outreach slide decks for community design charrettes. Conducted extensive market research for new market acquisitions, producing interactive dashboards and pipeline maps for over $1m in property investments.

Finalized product iterations for weekly review sessions to develop the final site and pod entry maps for Culdesac Tempe, enhancing Phase I Development and streamlining the wayfinding experience for residents.

Under weekly deadlines, organized and captured protests, editorials, & business profiles, as well as Pittsburgh City Paper’s “Best Of” annual award profiles. Images published in over 58,000 prints each feature, and circulated to the Pittsburgh metro area (pop. 2.3 million).

Collaborated on the production of a digital Rhino model for the Campus Net Zero Energy and Carbon Neutral Framework project, which aims to reduce the Levi Strauss & Co. campus EUI from 60 to 26.5 by 2025.

From digital to physical, collaborated on the production of a physical model of Mithun’s Uber Skyport Mobility Hub submission.

Primarily immersed in the coLAB (Mithun’s project visualization and innovation sandbox), I developed and produced a 3D physical site model and Lumion context render for The Bellevue at The Collection, a 625,000 sqft mixed-use luxury development.

Sourced manufacturers and produced the preliminary facade material pallet for the Puyallup Station Parking and Access Improvements.

Organized Revit document for interior asset delivery and placement for the UC San Diego Mesa Nueva Graduate & Professional Student Housing project.
