Lake Lewis is a fifth-year architecture student at Carnegie Mellon University. He has worked with a range of organizations, from Seattle to Tempe to Pittsburgh- focusing on mobility, sustainable missing middle & mixed use development, and equitable design. Photography is a medium that has allowed Lake to tell stories of various beings; living, built, and everything in between. Through his photo and design work, he hopes to contribute similar positive change to the ever dynamic and uncertain world around him.

Created video and photo content for admissions communications across CMU’s social media platforms, and captured important CMU traditions and events, from
first-year orientation and move-in to banquets and award dinners.

Lived car-free in Tempe, AZ, working on Experience Design, Real Estate, and Marketing teams.

Produced renders and visual media for community design charrettes.

Created site entry detail maps for Phase I of development for streamlined resident and visitor wayfinding.

Conducted extensive market research for internal processes and compiled parcel data into interactive pipeline map for new market acquisitions.

Under weekly deadlines, organized and captured protests, editorials, & business profiles, as well as Pittsburgh City Paper’s “Best Of” annual award profiles.

Images published in over 58,000 prints each feature, and circulated to the Pittsburgh metro area (pop. 2.3 million).

Created numerous physical and digital site & building models for confidential projects within the U.S. Most recent physical model was for Mithun’s Uber Mobility Hub proposal, and a 3D site model and Lumion render for a confidential project in Bellevue, WA.

Using professional software applications Lumion & Revit, organized Revit document for interior asset delivery and placement for UC San Diego Mesa Nueva Graduate & Professional Student Housing project.

Created multiple design schemes for interactive design project “In Knots” for Seattle Design Festival.

Produced preliminary facade material palette for Puyallup Station Parking and Access Improvements.
