About

I am a Masters student at Columbia GSAPP (MArch '19) due to graduate this May. I am currently seeking job opportunities in New York city and will be available to start work in early June. I will be based in New York for at least the next three years and hope to complete my Architect Registration Examination during that time.

I am a highly motivated candidate committed to a career at the forefront of contemporary architecture. I believe that architecture can act as a catalyst for social and cultural change and try to instill this belief in all of my projects.

Most recently I worked with Ryan Salvatore Design - a small firm specializing in single family homes in Connecticut and Long Island. While there I gained hands-on experience dealing with clients and contractors during the many site visits and design meetings I took part in. I also prepared drawings and documents for FAR, planning and zoning regulations in New York and Connecticut on a weekly basis.

The majority of my professional experience was gained at Scott Tallon Walker Architects (STW), which is the most established firm in Ireland and RIBA Gold Medal winner. I worked on an international 8-person team to design a new office building for Apple Inc. at their European headquarters in Cork, Ireland, from feasibility stage to construction. While there, I learned what it takes to realize a highly complex building while working with a design team at the cutting edge of the profession and dealing with one of the most well-known and demanding companies in the world.

I believe that I will be a valuable addition to any design environment and look forward to expanding my own skill-set while working as a small part of a greater ambition. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have at cb3259@columbia.edu or view my online portfolio here.
