"Jin Young Song and his research team, Brian Ravinsky(March/MUP) and Yan Duan(MUP) has won the Nila T. Gnamm Junior Faculty Research Fund from UB APEC Study Center. The research titled, Prefabricating the Vernacular, is exploring the vernacular architecture focusing on Façade in order to find an alternative way of designing urban housing in the Southeast Asia region under the critique of the distorted modernization in already developed Asian cities."
New York Upstate APA Conference Student Project Showcase - Top Prize, 1st Place
Two projects by Buffalo School architecture and planning students ("Blooming City" & "Lick Branch EcoStream") were selected as "Best Projects" in the Student Project Showcase at the New York Upstate APA 2014 Conference.
The Student Project Showcase invited two projects from each school in the district, which includes Cornell University, SUNY Albany and the University at Buffalo. The "Best Project" designations were based on rankings from conference attendees.
