About

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California I was instantly immersed into the urban environment unlike my parents, whose childhoods took place in rural areas of Mexico. I quickly became engulfed by 'metropolis' and developed an interest in architecture due to an early childhood obsession with LEGOS and the creative arts such as painting and sculpture. However, it was not until my first year of community college that I finally addressed my architectural interest. After completing an introductory course, my fascination with buildings was validated and I made the conscious effort to re-adjust my educational plans. With little to no guidance, I left Los Angeles in January of 2011 to embark on a great endeavor. The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, whose open enrollment policy and emphasis in the arts, presented me with a unique and immediate alternative to study architecture. Five years and 164 units later, I am now a first generation college graduate with a B Arch degree. Despite this accomplishment, it only marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life as a young professional by which I hope to develop a long-lasting career.
