I've just completed the two years' Master of Architecture program this May in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My Bachelor of Architecture Degree was obtained from Tsinghua University, Beijing. A continuous seven years' focused study on architecture has enabled me to develop my own philosophy, method of design and skills on software.
With the internships in MAD Architects, China Architectural Design & Research Group (the largest state-owned architectural company in China) and a short-term externship in Spector Group in New York, I gained experiences through all phases of architecture design including site research, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration, from urban to interior scale.
Aside from professional experiences, I've always been trying to discover connections between architecture and other fields that caught my interests. Such a motivation has been unceasingly tested through extracurricular experiences related with immersive spatial drama, short independent films, interactive technology, sustainable recycling, and creative childhood education. Those experiences not only strengthened my social media skills and leadership, but more essentially, fostered senses of how architectural or design thinking could do more for life and society.
