Having my Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master of Architecture degree finished this May at Cornell University, I have my studies in architecture focused on two aspects: concrete training of skills and building of a blend of organizational and analytical talents with creativity. The first part consists of a series of imitation and simulation of architectural practice including training of designing and drafting skills as well as proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided design visual presentation, Building Information Modeling(BIM), and Parametric/ algorithmic design. The second is more about critical understanding, analyzing and radical innovation that increase the diversity of argument.
On the other hand, learning from school activities makes me a fun person to work with. Leading and giving assignments to a team of 12 and being responsible as the minister for graphic design, video recording and editing, internet branding for students’ activities for an entire academic year, I and my team often had to work under under time and budget pressure but the brilliant team cooperate efficiently and did such an excellent job that everyone in the department were named The Best Crew Member Prize. While being the Teaching Assistant (Class monitor), basketball team member of the School Representatives at the same time definitely needs more organizational, time management skills including the ability to juggle multiple tasks. I also worked well within a team of other professionals in Cornell Design Connect on a renovation envisioning project.
