About

An architect with 21 years of experience, Rick’s work includes planning, programming or design for over 50 library projects in 12 states. A skilled communicator, he can effectively facilitate discussions across all organizational levels, from one-on-one staff meetings to board presentations to large community forums. His planning and design work regularly allows him the opportunity to advocate a proposed vision on the board and administration’s behalf and articulate goals to a complex range of constituents.

Rick’s career has focused almost exclusively on public sector clients, and he has developed a deep appreciation for the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities inherent to institutions supported through public funding. He worked in St. Louis, Chicago and Kansas City prior to joining Bostwick Design Partnership in 2003.  Rick became a principal in 2007, and through a dedication to research, smart planning and design excellence he continues to advance the firm’s library design portfolio.
