I am a young designer who has been continually intrigued by the interrelation of architecture and psychology; the interplay of the physical structure of the built environment and the individual’s perception of the space. The question for me has thus become, how do we as designers engage in design processes that respond to the social, psychological, behavioral, and cultural elements of the user in order to create spaces that are functional and successful, not merely habitable.
