Continuing our collaboration with Barneys New York, they invited us to celebrate Christian Louboutin’s twenty years of stilettos. The Louboutin symbolizes feminine power and desirability. To highlight Louboutin’s red saddle, we interpreted the iconic shoes in two flirty scenes.
In The Chase, a pair of men’s shoes unsuccessfully pursue a pair of stilettos. Drama builds as the men’s shoes inch closer and then breaks when the stilettos scoot away. The mechanism that moves the shoes beneath a clear sheet of plexiglass adds to the performance.
In The Clock, Louboutin stilettos turn around an unconscious-looking mannequin in a playful take on the image of a cartoon character with stars spinning around her head.
The windows generated coverage from numerous outlets ranging from Refinery 29 to the Huffington Post. Barneys went on to use video documentation of the windows on their website and social media channels.
