This Orthopedic Clinic is a first-floor renovation of an existing six story building. It is inclusive of Radiology, Patient Services, Administration, and Retail / Pharmacy.

Elmwood Sports Medicine prioritized utilizing un-used space on the first floor along with giving a modern, warm, and natural upgrade throughout the scope of work. The use of stone and wood textures will be used throughout the public and clinic spaces to reinforce a warm and modern environment. Programmatic elements include the addition of a Retail / Pharmacy space, two additional X-ray Rooms, and 7 additional Exam Rooms from the existing conditions.

Phase 1A (orange) was primarily un-used existing space that was built out into the Retail / Pharmacy, additional Exam Rooms, and Support Space. Phase 1B (red) was a combonation of new build-out and finish upgrades. Two X-ray rooms, Exam Rooms, Staff Support, and Dictation Rooms make up Phase 1B. Phase 2 was primarily finsh upgrades to the existing clinic; to match the surrounding new build-out.

My role for Elmwood Sports Medicine grew throughout the duration of the project. I have been a part of this project from very early schematic meetings; assisting in providing visuals for user-groups through Design Development. I became the primary producer of construction documents and took on the role of Project Manager for Construction Administration. My duties include meeting with owner’s reps to select finishes, submit for building permit, answer RFI’s, return submittals, and meet with contractors and engineers to problem solve as challenges introduce themselves.
