MT flat

The customer, after buying the flat, wanted to re-thinks completely the space for do it more close to his needs. Specially the second floor, which is derived on a attic, isn't much usable because is organized as a garret. The project idea has been that to remove as much as possible the partitions, specially on the second floor, for to create a single open space. Also both the flooring than the wooden beams have been coloring white, making the space more bright and clean. Going up the stair, the space opens on the left( clearly visible thanks to partial demolition of a partition, now converted into parapet), while opposite it appears a big closet, custom designed, that connect the small office with the bedroom. The closet is in wood, varnished in white color, with some black gaps that cut it in 3 parts : drawers on the bottom, wardrobe on the middle and folding doors on the top. Some recessed spotlights on a false ceiling in plasterboard allow to have a right light on the closet.  Talking about of the first floor, the main problem was recognize the spaces ( entry, kitchen, living room and lobby) but without insert some partitions for divide them, because of the little space. So I decided to play with 3 levels of false ceilings : the lowest altitude is that above the entrance, the intermediate altitude over the kitchen and the highest one on the living room. The point that connect the services zone ( entry and kitchen) with the living room is highlighted by a long shelf, which has the function of library, which is made  in correspondence to the false ceilings.
