The structure by architects Rios Clementi Hale frames the landscape in a nod to the California’s agrarian past. NICOLEHOLLIS developed a richly layered interiors program that includes artisanal millwork, extensive custom furnishings and refined materials, surfaces and finishes. The palette is one of grounded, restrained neutrals with brilliant mirrored and metallic touches. The flowing spaces offer a rhythmic progression from dark to light, from intimate to luminous. Unexpected details include hanging seating, ombré linen curtains and hand-painted ombré walls. The nuanced interiors also highlight a world-class art collection with works by Richard Serra, Damien Hirst and Ed Ruscha as well as up-and-coming artists.
