For this project, we are taking you to the Trump Royale, a luxury oceanfront residence located in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Our amazing Canadian clients were moving to the sunny state of Florida, with the request of taking some of their "home" with them.
The inspiration for this project was the French Riviera cote d'Azur, which can be found on the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France. This 1600 sq. ft. residence went from an outdated, dark apartment to a light open luxury space. By using light tones throughout our design, we were able to reach our goal of opening up as well as lighting up the space.
The space of the kitchen was doubled by creating a new layout and adding a larger kitchen island. To give the kitchen an extra touch of luxury, we collaborated with a local lighting designer. The new kitchen we created, will allow the clients to move around easily, making the cooking process a lot more pleasurable. All appliances used are of the latest version of Sub Zero appliances. By adding different layers of lighting, we were able to warm up the space, but still, make it comfortable enough to work in the kitchen.
Further, we created a symmetrical tv wall in the living room, by creating a niche similar to the look of the pocket door which leads to the guest bedroom. Different tones of wood, light tones of color, soft fabrics, and light-colored leather were used to match the beautiful kitchen and dining area.
At the Trump Royale, we were facing the challenge of converting both bedrooms from a dark and dated look to a nice, light open space. After adding our special touch to the rooms, we were able to lighten up the space and create nice modern-looking bedrooms. The use of polished tiles and the light colors throughout the design instantly made the rooms seem bigger. Closets were added to the master bathrooms, to allow for more storage space.
