Issues of climate change, sea level rise, and diurnal tidal flooding in Broad Channel are addressed through a proposed extension to the existing Wildlife Refuge, which elevates the submerging ‘backyard marsh’ to a zone for ecological exploration by means of a highly experiential discovery trail, a series of follies, and two programmatic nodes - the boating center and the research facility.
